After a record 2025 (€142m in gross written premiums, up 57%), Seyna announces that this momentum is continuing in 2026. To keep combining strong growth with operational rigour, the company is strengthening its Board of Directors with a top-tier appointment: Pierre-Olivier Desaulle, former CEO of Hiscox Europe and Chair of Beazley Insurance dac, joins the Board and takes the chair of the Audit Committee.

Seyna builds on its momentum and grows stronger

In 2025, Seyna’s operating model, an insurer specialised in delegated distribution at scale, proved itself: gross written premiums grew by 57% and the combined ratio improved by 8 points in a single year. The company has kept up this momentum in 2026. In September 2026, Seyna also launched a professional risks line (professional indemnity and commercial package insurance), with a dedicated team led by Guillaume Rosolek.

Seyna never compromises on rigour as it grows. To absorb this change in scale, the company is strengthening its governance at the same pace as its business. Pierre-Olivier Desaulle has joined the board of directors and taken over as chair of the audit committee, which oversees the preparation of financial reports, internal control and risk management: the foundations that enable Seyna to grow safely and rapidly.

“Our ambition is clear: to become the most efficient insurer for brokers in Europe. To get there, we are surrounding ourselves with the best. After Guillaume Rosolek on professional risks, Pierre-Olivier joining our Board is a real accelerator: few executives know delegated underwriting and the governance of major European insurers as well as he does. That people of this calibre choose to build Seyna with us is the strongest proof of the strength of our model.”

A top-tier Board member for the next stage

Pierre-Olivier Desaulle knows the model Seyna is built on: delegated underwriting through brokers. After more than seven years at the broker Marsh, he spent sixteen years at Hiscox, an insurer specialised in delegated underwriting. As Managing Director of Hiscox France from 2000 to 2009, he developed its professional insurance offering, before leading Hiscox Europe as CEO from 2009 to 2016. A Board member of Beazley Insurance dac, Beazley’s regulated European subsidiary, since 2017, he has chaired it since 2021. He also sat on the board of Beazley plc, where he served as Senior Independent Director until the group was acquired by Zurich on 1 October 2026.

With more than 100 broker clients, 8 business lines and a presence in 6 European countries, Seyna has reached a size where the robustness of its systems and governance is a key factor in its future growth. Pierre-Olivier Desaulle’s experience will help Seyna take this step: to be both a fast-growing insurer and a company firmly established in the market.

“I have spent most of my career at insurers that work through delegation with their distribution partners. Seyna takes this model further: a company designed from day one for brokers, built on its own technology. On the Audit Committee, my role is to ensure that its internal control and risk management keep pace with its growth.”
