Seyna transforms tailored insurance products monitoring

This quarter marks a decisive step for Seyna: we are transforming the tracking of insurance products into a continuous, consistent pipeline that can be used by all teams.

Introducing our new features for tailored products monitoring!

Based on the features developed since the beginning of the year, from integrated invoicing to financial profitability, everything aligns automatically.

The result: tailored products can now be managed as easily as packaged products.

📐 Reliable actuarial calculations, even for complex products

Seyna strengthens its actuarial engine to guarantee accurate profitability at all times, regardless of the specific circumstances of a programme:

  • Automated claim-by-claim reserves
    • Comparison of the average cost of closed vs open claims, adjusted when needed for inflation or insured variables.
  • Variable commissions and profit-sharing
    • Linear interpolation along the profitability axis, with direct integration of the amount due into the results.
  • Non-linear acquisition patterns
    • Actual acquisition patterns derived from completed contracts and automatically applied to active contracts.
  • Premium and claims projections
    • Multiplicative Holt-Winters projection model combining trend and seasonality to anticipate future premiums and claims costs.

Concrete example

If fewer than 5% of a product’s contracts have a zero premium, the monitoring validates it automatically.

If the rate exceeds this threshold, an actuarial analysis ticket is instantly triggered.

🕒 Monthly and continuous monitoring

Monthly monitoring is now fully automated:

  • integrated bordereaux → auto-generated tickets,
  • monitoring questions handled directly in the app or via dedicated dashboards,
  • early warning signals detected,
  • monthly conclusions generated by AI and shared across all teams.

Analyses no longer depend on a committee or a fixed calendar: they follow the real pace of portfolios.

Actuarial teams work on data updated on a monthly basis and can continuously deliver more relevant recommendations to brokers’ programmes.

🔀 Finance and Actuarial teams: each advances independently of the other

The end-to-end continuous monitoring pipeline ensures a single, consistent source of truth:

  • Finance extracts business data, estimates and reserves in one go,
  • actuarial assumptions are always up to date at the time of extraction,
  • Excel-based models are phased out,
  • each team gains full autonomy.

This level of consistency is already used across all internal teams, with full adoption on the actuarial side.

📈 Measured impact

The efficiency gains across our internal processes are already clear:

  • 6 weeks saved on monitoring and steering cycles,
  • 2 weeks saved on each monthly close,
  • 60% of manual rework eliminated,
  • deviations detected 2 to 3 months earlier,
  • more granular pricing adjustments, reduced churn,
  • more stable and more profitable products.

🧑💼 What this means for brokers

All these developments are built with one audience in mind: brokers.

  • immediate visibility into true profitability,
  • transparent view of management and distribution remuneration,
  • ability to adjust a deal or a commercial narrative in real time,
  • faster, more fact-based and more constructive discussions with the insurer.

In short: more premiums, more commissions, less uncertainty.

🔮 2026: Predictive portfolio monitoring

After a strong year of platform development, our focus is now firmly set on 2026.

Three major evolutions are already underway:

  • Fully automated monitoring powered by AI agents and deterministic rules,
  • AI Deep Dive module: SQL generation and instant analysis across all Seyna data,
  • Simulations (Dynamic Repricing Helper): live financial impacts and real-time projections.

We will progressively open these capabilities to brokers and reinsurers, enabling shared, transparent and near real-time monitoring.

We look forward to sharing all these new features with you in the coming weeks!
